Solange Brown has always been an artist. Her career began as an interior designer in Quebec, Canada and then took a turn when she moved to the United States in 1980, where she worked as a commercial artist in northern Virginia. This unique experience was the groundwork for her unique style as a painter, which she fed by attending classes and workshops with renowned artists from all over the world.

Working in multiple styles and disciplines, Brown has an intuitive sense of space and shape. She is a signature member of the Virginia Watercolor Society, and a member of the Uptown Artists at Crossroads Art Center in Richmond, Virginia.

"Expressing the emotion I feel when painting the beauty of nature or the human figure, and using an unbound imagination to create abstract work, is what brings joy to my artistic life."
